Winemaking Notes
Our 2005 SuSan's Passion Late Harvest Riesling derives its name from Proprietor Jerry Brassfield's wife, SuSan, and her passion for Late Harvest Riesling. In order to make a late harvest Riesling, a specific mold has to occur on the berry skin. The resulting infection not only increases the sugar content dramatically, but also adds aromatic qualities found only in this German style of wine.
Tasting Notes
Complex aromas of appsion fruit, honeysuckle and peach blossom are intertwined with the flavors of fresh apricots and Bartlett pears. The residual sugar is well balanced with the acidity that leads to a long, smooth finish.
