Winemaking Notes

The home ranch on the western side of High Valley has been known as High Serenity Ranch for over one hundred years. This Sauvignon Blanc vineyard consists of clone #1 on soils that are comprised of well-drained, gravelly loams.

High Valley's signature cooler growing conditions allow for longer grape hang times enhancing flavor development and better acid retention in the juice and finished wine. Like all great white Bordeaux's, 9% Semillon from an adjoining vineyard was blended to add more body to the mid-palate prior to bottling.

Tasting Notes

This vintage shows delicate citrus aromas of gooseberry and kiwi with subtle hints of pears and cantaloupe. A bright entry on the palate and flavors of a tart, crisp Granny Smith apple lead to a soft, broad lingering finish.
